Hot Stone Therapy is a modern massage
technique that draws upon ancient Native
American traditions of using heated and
cooled stones on the body.
The stones used in a stone therapy treatment
are naturally shaped and made from volcanic
basalt. The heated basalt stones that are
used in a hot stone treatment allow for a
much deeper effect than with a conventional
massage, and furthermore with minimum effort
from the therapist!
This treatment can add an extremely exciting
dimension to a massage treatment, and it has
been said that one stroke of a stone is
equivalent to ten of the hand.
